Spiritual Direction is a time-honored tradition where a trained spiritual companion offers listening, non-judgmental space to another searcher. It is holy listening because God is the third person in the conversation. I light a candle each time I meet with a directee to remind us that God is among us during the course of our time together.

Observing the patterns in your life I can help you discern where God may be guiding you. I use many of the practices of Ignatian Spirituality including discernment with my directees. Together we reflect and pay attention to where the Spirit has and is leading you in your life. I believe that by opening ourselves to the mystery of God’s presence we can be healed of past hurts and affirmed of the Creator’s goodness inside of each of us.

I would also be happy to work with those who would like to add more spiritual practices to their prayer life such as the Examen, Lectio Divinia, or Journaling.

Our sessions last an hour and we meet approximately once a month. At the present time, I am meeting with directees in my home in Bloomington, Minnesota. I would also be available to meet with you via Skype if you live outside of the Twin Cities metro area.
